Relationships and Health Education

At Edward Francis, we aim to teach high-quality RSHE & PSHE which ensures that every child receives clear, accurate and age-appropriate teaching so they can make safe and informed choices as they grow.

Our RSHE & PSHE teaching aims to equip children with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to navigate the complexities of life in the 21st century. It is designed to support pupils in making informed choices about their health, safety, wellbeing and relationships, enabling them to become confident, thoughtful and active members of society.

Zones of Regulation

At Edward Francis Primary School, we use the Zones of Regulation approach to help children recognise, understand and talk about their emotions and how they are feeling. Through a shared language and a range of strategies, children learn to regulate their emotions, manage challenges and develop the skills they need to feel ready to learn and thrive.

Wellbeing and Awareness Days

Our school promotes and organises a range of special Wellbeing and Awareness Days throughout the year. These days provide opportunities to promote positive wellbeing, celebrate our diverse community, and raise awareness of important issues that support the mental, emotional and physical health of our children and wider school community.
